The newly inaugurated Kumar Bhaskar Varma Setu (Guwahati-North Guwahati Bridge) has become the city’s latest hotspot. While vehicular traffic will strictly begin from March 1, 2026, officials have opened the bridge exclusively for pedestrians this week. Thousands of residents are flocking every evening to walk on the 1.2km stretch and enjoy breathtaking sunset views of the river before cars take over.”
